Use the Blend Calculator
The SnowAI Blend Calculator lets you add your ingredients and explore things like estimated cost, how a blend may feel, functional/medical information, viscosity and more.
Browse Shared Blends
Visit Legendarianism and click the Shared blends tab. You'll find blends shared by other community members, including TERPLABZ blends.
Choosing your terpene profile
You don't need to overcomplicate this part. As a starting point, the main difference people usually look at is Sativa, Hybrid and Indica. Other then that, terpenes are responsible for the vapes flavour, so also check what strain/flavour seems good to you.
Sativa
A brighter, more energizing profile, commonly chosen for daytime, focus, productivity or social moments.
Primary feel: Energizing
Hybrid
A flexible profile that can feel inspired, creative, balanced or relaxing depending on the formulation.
Primary feel: Flexible
Indica
A more relaxed, deeper profile, commonly chosen for peaceful evenings, slower sessions or winding down.
Primary feel: Relaxed
Want to go deeper into terpenes?
The SnowAI terpene guide goes much deeper. You don't really need it to get started, but it's there for the advanced people who want to dig into terpene profiles.

Choose suppliers

Choose suppliers
Choose reliable sources for cannabinoids, hardware and terpenes.
Start with SnowAI Sources
The SnowAI Sources page is a good place to start looking for suppliers.
Cannabinoids
- Pharmabinoid
- Elementra
- HW (Highway)
Hardware
- CzechCBD
- Elementra
- HW (Highway)
Terpenes
- Terpenes UK
- Elementra
- HW (Highway)
The website is legitimate, but there have been some bad customer-support experiences recently. Consider one of the other suppliers first, and ask the community for current experiences and additional suppliers.
Don't limit yourself to these suppliers. The Sources page and community are the best places to discover more options and compare current experiences.

Decarb THCA
Only relevant for D9 blends made from THCA.

Decarb THCA
Only relevant for D9 blends made from THCA.
This step is only for D9 THC blends made from THCA. If you're using another cannabinoid, making a THC-free blend, or buying ready-made D9, you can skip this step.
Option 1 — Buy ready-made D9
The simplest option is to start with ready-made D9.
Option 2 — Buy THCA isolate
You can also start with THCA isolate and prepare it for a D9 formulation. THCA is available from TERPLABZ and other suppliers.
THCA suppliers
THCA can also be sourced from many different legitimate suppliers in Europe. You can ask the community for additional current suppliers and experiences.
THCA needs to be decarbed first
This is the only part of DIY that takes a bit more effort and where it's especially useful to follow a dedicated guide instead of trying to work it out yourself. SnowAI has a complete decarb guide on this. You can also ask in the community chatroom, community where members have shared step by step guides where you can follow along. You can also ask questions here during the decarb process, normally community members respond within minutes!
Decarboxylation is the conversion of THCA into D9 THC under heat. Keep THCA around 120 degrees celsius for a few hours and it will turn into D9 THC automatically. Please look around on SnowAI and ask the community, who will happily help you on how to do this yourself. Learning how to do this yourself will help you a lot, as THCA is much cheaper and more readily available then D9 THC.

Mix the blend together
Combine the ingredients into your finished cannabinoid mixture.

Mix the blend together
Combine the ingredients into your finished cannabinoid mixture.
Keep the setup simple
The basic setup is straightforward: suitable glassware, a mixing tool and a thermometer to keep the temperature in check. A hotplate stirrer can make things easier, but a suitable cheap heating setup like a stove top can also be used.
Follow the detailed guide
SnowAI has a dedicated guide explaining the blending process, including the technical considerations around preparing the mixture.
Don't forget your thermometer. Keeping an eye on the temperature is important. If you're unsure about any part of the blending process, use the SnowAI blend guide or ask in the Chatroom.
05
Add terpenes
Terpenes are added toward the end as the finishing part of your
blend.

Add terpenes
Terpenes are added toward the end as the finishing part of your blend.
Add them last
Once the cannabinoid mixture is properly prepared, terpenes are added near the end of the process. Terpenes are sensitive to excessive heat, so avoid unnecessary heat exposure after they have been introduced. Terpenes will degrade starting from ~60 degrees celsius, so try to keep your blend with terpenes below 50-55 degrees at all times.
Detailed blend & terpene guidance
The SnowAI Blend guide contains the detailed technical information for this part of the process.
The simple rule: don't expose your finished terpene mixture to unnecessary high temperatures. If you're unsure about the appropriate temperature handling, use the detailed SnowAI guide rather than guessing.

What you'll need
A suitable syringe and blunt-tip needle are useful for controlled filling. Both are available from different suppliers.
Viscosity matters
Temperature has a major effect on viscosity. Cooler material becomes thicker, while warmer material becomes thinner. This is why temperature and suitable filling equipment matter when working with a viscous mixture. Make sure to heat the syringe/tip before using it to fill your carts, for example with a hairdryer or room heater. This will allow the distillate to go through the syringe easily.
Filling & priming — full guide
SnowAI has the complete guide for filling and priming your carts. Use that guide for the detailed procedure.
The SnowAI filling guide covers the filling and priming process together, so there's no need to treat them as two completely separate jobs. Once the carts are properly finished, cap the mouthpieces and move on to your final checks.

Cart not quite right?
Don't panic. DIY is about learning your own formulation and process. A few common things to look at:
Bad flavor?
Excessive heat (over ~55 degrees) after terpenes have been introduced will affect/burn flavour. Keep the finished terpene mixture away from unnecessary heat and follow the detailed temperature guidance in the SnowAI Blend guide.
Too thick or too thin?
Viscosity is influenced heavily by temperature and by the composition of the blend. If the consistency isn't what you wanted, use the Blend Calculator and consider changing the formulation next time.
And don't overthink the first batch. DIY is trial and error, but it usually isn't as much trial and error as it sounds. For most people, the first batch is mainly about learning how everything works. The second batch is already much closer to perfect.
Still unsure?
Ask before guessing. You can talk to Frosty, ask in the community chatroom, visit Legendarianism or contact TERPLABZ.
